Captivating Collaborations
With so many wonderful icons and brands collaborating with one another, we can witness the beautiful blossoming of art and creativity in fashion. Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony, Kate Moss for Top Shop, Natalia Vodianova for Lutz & Patmos, Jessica Stam for Rag & Bone, all these collaborations bring pure delight to avid fashionistas and lovers of either of these entities.
CHLOE SEVIGNY FOR OPENING CEREMONY:
Chloe Sevigny is an ideal representative for Opening Ceremony. She has such an eccentric fashion sense and mod style that she is the perfect candidate for a quirky and unique line. With plenty of florals and gingham, she has induced O.C. with a playful twist that is truly her own. Along with a unisex collection that is both simplistic, oversized, and androgynous, which she dedicates to her favorite designer Miguel Adrover. With beautiful garments, shoes, and booties, Chloe Sevigny is a precursor to fashion and gives light to future trends.
KATE MOSS FOR TOP SHOP:
Kate Moss for Top Shop is not the most recent collaboration, but it is by far the most terrific. This legendary icon has enlightened Top Shop lovers and has spread her wisdom for beautiful garments by creating a reasonably priced collection for this British flagship. Most of Kate Moss’s collection came from vintage inspiration as she personally hunted for the perfect ideas. Thankfully it was just announced that Kate has launched her new Christmas 2009 collection that will grace Top Shop racks the first week of November.
NATALIA VODIANOVA FOR LUTZ & PATMOS:
Lutz & Patmos, the luxuriously delicious knitwear line, has made a very intelligent decision to link up with the lovely Russian model, Natalia Vodianova, for a pre-spring collection. She has inspired new and fresh ideas to L & P including convertible-esque pieces that can be worn and enjoyed multiple ways. Vodianova’s main goal was to have a collection that is perfect for day but can transform into a fierce piece by night. Also $50 of every item sold will be donated to her Naked Heart’s Foundation.
JIMMY CHOO FOR H&M:
H&M has paired up with amazing top-notch designers throughout the past couple years, but this collaboration is wonderful! With accessories, shoes, and dresses, Jimmy Choo has created such a wonderful opportunity to share his inspiration with fashionistas looking for a reasonable find. Slightly above H&M’s usual price-point, Jimmy Choo has made his mark. With a beautiful one-shoulder black micro-mini leather dress, a electric blue suede frock. and booties that will bring chills to your senses, he has brought a beautifully chic and edgy spark to the racks of Hennes & Mauritz.
JESSICA STAM FOR RAG & BONE:
The lovely Canadian model, Jessica Stam, was called upon by the dynamic duo that bewitched the fashion world with Rag & Bone. Designers Neville & Wainwright approached the model, having admired her amazing accomplishment in the fashion world, and told her to do something very unique. They told Jessica to bring them some of her favorite pieces out of her own closet, so they could replicate and re-vamp them for her own collection. The Spring 2010 collection will consist of vintage-inspired rompers, boyfriend jeans, jumpsuits, and other fabulous pieces that imitate Stam’s own closet, with the Rag & Bone twist of course.
CARLOS FALCHI FOR TARGET:
Launching the beginning of November, Carlos Falchi, usually found at Bergdorf’s or Barney’s will be on the racks in Target. It won’t be the same alligator or crocodile were used to, but it will be the same edgy styles, vibrant faux-skins, and wonderful colors we always love. Usually bags range from $4,000 and up, but thanks to this collaboration you can get a similar version for $19.99-$49.99. Thankyou CF!
